FAQ Frequent questions

How do I get to you?

expand_more

Take the ferry to Koh Rong Sanloem and get off at M'Pay Bay. Please make sure that your destination M'Pay Bay (sometimes spelled M23) is correct, as the same ferries run also to other beaches and there is no road network on the island. From the pier it's a few minutes' walk to the guesthouse. We can pick you up, if requested.

How does booking work?

expand_more

You send a request via the form. We check availability and reply within 24 hours by email. Only then it becomes a booking — before that, no commitment.

When and how do I pay?

expand_more

Cash on arrival, in USD or Riel or other common currency. Please bring enough for your whole stay — there is no ATM on the island.

Can I cancel?

expand_more

Yes. Please give us reasonable notice. Plans change. For illness or unexpected issues, just write to us and we'll find a fair solution.

Is food available?

expand_more

We don't serve meals. Several restaurants and small shops are within a short walk in M'Pay Bay village. Cold beer and a few drinks available from us.

Is there Wi-Fi?

expand_more

No, there's currently no Wi-Fi at the guesthouse. Mobile internet on the island works well — pick up a local SIM card on the mainland before the ferry.

What should I bring?

expand_more

Enough cash for your whole stay (no ATM on the island), mosquito repellent, sturdy shoes if you like hiking, sunscreen and a small head torch. Towels and linen are provided. A powerbank may be useful, as especially during peak season the electricity might have hickups.

Are kids welcome?

expand_more

Yes, kids are welcome. We're family-friendly and happy to share tips for safe beaches and easy walks.

What's the weather like?

expand_more

Dry season: November to April (hot and sunny). Wet season: May to October — short, intense showers with sunshine in between. Both have their charm.

Do you have air conditioning?

expand_more

No — every room has a quiet ceiling fan and a mosquito net above the bed. The garden trees and the room design with mosquito net covered openings for airflow keep things cool, especially in the mornings and evenings.
